Welcome to the Caribbean
The Caribbean or the Caribbean Sea, is an area that spands from the Gulf of Mexico and the Straits of Florida in the north to the NW of South America in the south.
The Caribbean consists of more than 7,000 islands, islets, reefs, and cays.
To the East and Northeast of the Caribbean Sea is The Atlantic Ocean.
Stretching from the Greater Antilles in the north west in a chain of islands
2170 nautical miles to the Lesser Antilles in the south east at Trinidad and Tobago.
The estimated population was 37.5 million as of 2000.
